Pet Dog Insurance Doesn't Have to be Expensive

Our pets have become part of the family. We name them, we sometimes raise them from infancy, watch them grow and care for them.
We choose the best food for our animals, we do things that are good for them. like take them on walks or to the dog park. Doggie day-care for working owners have popped up in the big cities like mushrooms after the rain. There are special dog walkers, dog clothes, dog fresh baked biscuits and dog shows. Pet dog insurance is also an important consideration.

When it comes to our pet's well being, we are the primary care giver. So when our pet does not behave or look like he usually does, we take it to the Vet for diagnosis and treatment.
New technologies enable us today to diagnose illnesses and provide treatments that were not there a few years ago. But it comes with a price tag. The rising costs of the human health industry affected pet health as well. One illness, one visit to the doctor and a few tests can run a tab of a few hundred dollars.

That is where pet dog insurance comes in. For a small amount (around $30-$40 per month), you can insure your pet and have a manageable deductible in case something goes terribly wrong.
The ASPCA put it very succinctly: “... So you won't have to choose between your pet's well-being and your finances.”

There are many pet dog insurance companies that offer insurance for both dogs and cats, petshealthplan.com or gopetplan.com for example.
Another company is petinsurance.com, a nationwide insurance company that offers insurance for dogs, cats, birds and exotic animals. Like most insurance companies the devil is in the details, so be sure to read what you are getting. The deductible changes from plan to plan and the reimbursement percentage changes as well. The plans vary from emergency care only, to comprehensive care with medications included. The premium goes up as well.
Here's another reason why pets are just like us.
